Most leggings have a seam that runs straight down the center front, from the waistband to the crotch. Our PureFlex Organic Cotton No-Front-Seam Leggings do not. Here is what that seam does, what changes when it is gone, and how to choose your inseam and size.

What does the front seam on leggings do?
Leggings are usually cut from a left half and a right half. The front seam is where those two halves are sewn together at the front. It runs along the front rise, the curve from the waistband down to the crotch.
That seam holds the garment together and shapes the rise. It also sits at the very center of the body, where fitted fabric is stretched tightest. On many leggings it shows as a line straight down the middle of the front.
Taking it out is a pattern decision. The front has to be cut and shaped another way.
What changes when the front seam is gone?
On our No-Front-Seam Leggings, the center front is one smooth panel from the waistband to the crotch. The shaping moves to two contour seams. They start at the waistband and run down the front of each leg.
- A smooth front. There is no line of stitching down the middle.
- A wide, high-rise waistband. It has a single seam along its lower edge and sits high on the waist for added coverage.
- No pockets. The look stays clean from waist to ankle.
- Designed for coverage. The same PureFlex fabric as our other leggings.
Wear them with a PureFlex bra or a fitted crop top, and the smooth front stays in view.
How do you choose the right inseam?
Inseam is measured on the finished leggings, from the crotch seam to the hem. It is the same in every size, so you choose your size and your length separately.
Short 23"
Full length up to 5'1". A 7/8 length at 5'2" to 5'4".

Regular 25"
Full length at 5'2" to 5'4". A 7/8 length at 5'5" to 5'9".
Tall 28"
Full length at 5'5" to 5'9". Just above the ankle at 5'10" and up.
These heights are barefoot. Between two lengths? The longer one gathers slightly at the ankle, and the shorter one sits as a 7/8.

How should no-front-seam leggings fit?
Our leggings are garment-dyed and pre-shrunk, so the fit is true to size, wash after wash. Choose the size you normally wear. If you're between sizes, size up for the best coverage. If you want a different length, change the inseam, not the size.

- S (2-4): waist 26-28, hips 36-38
- M (6-8): waist 28-30, hips 38-40

What are they made of?

The leggings are made of PureFlex, our 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton and 8% spandex fabric. It is single-layer, with a soft, matte cotton feel and moderate compression.
PureFlex is PFAS-free, and we use no DWR (durable water repellent) or fluorinated finishes. In October 2024, Applied Technical Services tested our organic cotton leggings fabric and found total fluorine not detected, below 2 ppm. You can read ATS report 435623 in full. Mamavation's September 2026 update lists our leggings as non-detect for total fluorine; see what Mamavation found.
The leggings are made in the USA. The fabric is knit in Los Angeles, the leggings are cut and sewn in our own licensed Los Angeles facility, and they are garment-dyed in Los Angeles. More on our fabrics and GOTS-certified organic cotton.
How do you care for them?
Wash cold, inside out, without fabric softener, then hang dry or tumble on low. Follow the care label.

Do no-front-seam leggings have any seams?
Yes. Our No-Front-Seam Leggings keep the seams needed to shape and construct them, including the waistband seam and two contour seams down the front of each leg. There is no seam down the center front.
Which inseam should I choose if I am 5'5"?
Choose Tall 28" for full length, or Regular 25" for a 7/8 length.
