Where we make your clothing.
Every PuraKai garment is designed, patterned, sampled, cut, sewn, and packaged in one building in South El Monte, Los Angeles.
Everything happens under one roof.
From first sketch to finished garment, every step lives in one building in South El Monte, Los Angeles. We design, pattern, sample, cut, sew, and package it all right here.
Our fabric is knitted and our garments are dyed by local partners in Los Angeles. Everything else happens in our building, and every stage is within a 10-mile radius.
We could grow faster. We chose not to.
PuraKai is 100% family owned with zero outside investors. We plan to keep it that way. When investors get involved, production moves overseas to cut costs and the thing that made the brand worth building disappears.
So yes, we will not always have everything in stock. Small-batch, made in LA is a deliberate choice, not a shortcoming. Every dollar stays local, supporting American workers and other small family businesses in our community.
Four operators, eight machines.
Our team runs eight sewing machines. Every operator is trained on multiple machine types so we can adapt production as needed. In February we had two operators and four machines. By April, four and eight.
We sew with cotton thread, not polyester. When someone buys a 100% organic cotton garment, the thread should be cotton too.
Our factory, today.
Sewing operators
Started with two in February, four by April 2026. Growing with every order.
