Leggings and shorts lengths

Inseam is measured on the finished garment from the crotch seam to the hem. It's the same in every size, so you choose your size and your length separately.

Style Short Regular Tall
High Waist, Pocket, Mid-Rise, Sculpt and No-Front-Seam leggings 23" 25" 28"
Bootcut leggings 27" 29.5" 32"
Capri leggings 17"
High Waist and Pocket shorts 3" 5"

Which length for your height

A guide to where the hem lands, barefoot. Full length sits at the ankle; 7/8 sits just above it.

Your height Leggings (23" / 25" / 28") Bootcut
Up to 5'1" Short 23" for full length Short 27"
5'2"–5'4" Regular 25" for full length, or Short 23" as a 7/8 Regular 29.5"
5'5" Tall 28" for full length, or Regular 25" as a 7/8 Regular 29.5"
5'6"–5'9" Tall 28" for full length, or Regular 25" as a 7/8 Tall 32"
5'10" and up Tall 28" sits just above the ankle Tall 32"

Capri 17" is a mid-calf crop on most heights. Between two lengths? The longer one gathers slightly at the ankle; the shorter one sits as a 7/8.

How to choose your size

Most styles run true to size. PureFlex and Pure are garment dyed and pre-shrunk, so choose the size you normally wear.

If you're between sizes, please size up for the best fit.

Need a different length? Change the inseam, not the size. Leggings come in three inseams and shorts in two, so a shorter inseam at your true size will fit better than a smaller size.

Shorts: check the measurements at your hip rather than the size you usually wear in shorts.

Bras and tops: your usual size for a secure fit, or size up if you prefer less compression.

Pure Lightweight Joggers: these fit closer than the name suggests. If you want a relaxed fit, size up.

Texas-Grown and EcoLuxe styles: use the measurements on the chart above.

Still deciding between two sizes? Email hello@purakai.com and we will help.

How to measure

Bust: around the fullest part of your chest, with the tape flat but not tight.

Waist: around your natural waist, where you usually wear your pants. Relax and leave about 1/4 inch of slack.

Hips: around the widest part of your hips and seat, usually about 2 inches below your hip bones.

Inside leg: from your crotch straight down to where you want the hem, barefoot. Compare it with the inseams above.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.4 / 5 from 20 reviews.

These are super soft, comfortable and stay in place while exercising. I also have the pureflex high waisted leggings and I would say these are slightly thinner than those. Also, the no front seam means you have two seams running down the legs whereas the original pureflex leggings only has a seam on the out side of the leg. I dont like the feel of seams on my legs so that is something to consider. Otherwise both the no-front seam and the original are awesome.

PureFlex Organic Cotton No-Front-Seam Leggings

Best leggings I have ever owned. I had been looking for a long time for leggings that didn't bother my sensitive tummy and weren't fully synthetic. These are so comfortable, not too tight, they don't sag or fall down EVER, and feel like cotton. I don't ever have to worry about camel toe, or having to put on looser pants in the evening. I could live in these. I purchased a medium. I am 5'4. 137 but in perimenopause and the bloating fluctuates dramatically. I am going to buy another pair next paycheck. 100% worth it.

Customer video review of PureFlex Organic Cotton No-Front-Seam Leggings

I cannot say enough good things about these leggings! They were EXACTLY what I was looking for after a company called Namarie (where I used to get my leggings) went under. I could not find anything comparable for the longest time… until Purakai! I love that they are made of non-toxic materials, have just the right amount of stretch, AND no front seam. I can’t tell you how many brands I have searched through but they ALL had a front seam. PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THESE!!!

PureFlex Organic Cotton No-Front-Seam Leggings

I love how they feel but time will tell once I wear them after repeated washings. I love the fact that they aren't polyester but just not sure how they will hold up with repeated washings.

PureFlex Organic Cotton No-Front-Seam Leggings

They are comfortable and look good but are very very see through when you bend over. These are legging that you can wear around but you cannot work out in these. So that’s super disappointing. I wanted work out gear. Not lounging gear.

The Rose Pink is totally see through. I'm going to have to send them back, because I can't wear these to a Pilates class. You can see my underwear through them. I love the pink; it's so pretty. Very sad they didn't work out.

Tested and Trusted

We had our bestselling leggings independently tested for PFAS by Applied Technical Services. Total fluorine, the limiting marker for the entire PFAS class, came back none detected at below 2 parts per million.

The report covers the main fabric of our organic cotton leggings, tested in October 2024, against a current industry threshold of 100 ppm. We publish the result rather than a blanket claim.

Why go the extra mile? PFAS are synthetic chemicals used to make fabrics stain and water-resistant, but they’re also known as “forever chemicals” because they persist in the environment and accumulate in our bodies. With PFAS linked to health risks, we made it our goal to guarantee skin-friendly comfort that eases your body and mind.

We use no DWR coatings and no fluorinated finishes anywhere in our line.
