Organic cotton yoga clothes, made in our own Los Angeles facility. Every fitted piece here uses PureFlex fabric, 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton with 8% spandex, independently lab-tested PFAS-free with the report published. Yoga puts fabric against warm, damp skin for an hour at a time, which is exactly where organic cotton beats synthetics: it breathes through long holds, absorbs sweat instead of smearing it, and carries no chemical finishes.

Find Your Pieces by Practice

Restorative, yin, and slow flow

Comfort leads. The high waist leggings with the racerback sports bra is our most-loved pairing: the waistband stays put through folds and twists, and nothing digs in during long floor holds.

Hatha and vinyasa

You want stretch recovery and a secure waistband for inversions. High waist or mid-rise leggings with either bra work; add the cami crop top if you prefer a layer over the bra that still shows your alignment.

Pilates and reformer

Fitted through the leg matters so straps and springs don't catch. The high waist leggings or capris with the high neck racerback bra give a close fit with more coverage through the chest during footwork and rolling.

Warm rooms

Capri leggings move the hem off the calf, and the cami crop top keeps the same fabric in less coverage. One honest note: for heated classes where you'll be soaked through, cotton holds more moisture than synthetics and dries slower. For every unheated practice, that same absorbency is why it feels better.

What Yoga Asks of a Fabric

A yoga legging needs four things: a waistband that stays up in downward dog, opacity in a deep fold, stretch that recovers instead of bagging at the knee, and fabric your skin can stand for an hour of close contact. PureFlex was built for exactly that: the 8% spandex carries the stretch and recovery, and the 92% organic cotton carries everything else. The knit is thicker and non-sheer by design.

Claims You Can Check

The fabric is GOTS-certified organic cotton, grown in Texas, Turkey, and India. It is independently lab-tested PFAS-free by Applied Technical Services, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab, and we publish the full lab report. We design, cut, sew, and finish every garment in our own Los Angeles building; Los Angeles partners handle knitting and garment dyeing. PuraKai is a father-and-daughter founded business, independent since 2012, no venture capital, no private equity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is tight or loose clothing better for yoga?

Fitted is more practical for most practices: it shows alignment, stays out of the way in inversions, and doesn't catch on props. Choose relaxed pieces for restorative sessions where nothing needs to stay put.

Capri or full length for yoga?

Capris for warm rooms and summer, full length for everything else. Same fabric, same waistband; the difference is purely where the hem sits.

What bra works for yoga?

Yoga is low-impact, so comfort beats compression. The racerback sports bra keeps straps clear of the shoulder blades for inversions; the high neck version adds chest coverage for forward folds and reformer work.

Are these actually sustainable yoga clothes?

We back that word with specifics rather than using it as a label: GOTS-certified organic cotton fiber, garments produced in our own Los Angeles facility, published independent PFAS testing, and a supply chain that stays inside one city. Our guide to cotton versus synthetic workout clothes covers the fabric side in depth.
