We had our bestselling leggings independently tested for PFAS by Applied Technical Services. Total fluorine, the limiting marker for the entire PFAS class, came back none detected at below 2 parts per million.
The report covers the main fabric of our organic cotton leggings, tested in October 2024, against a current industry threshold of 100 ppm. We publish the result rather than a blanket claim.
Why go the extra mile? PFAS are synthetic chemicals used to make fabrics stain and water-resistant, but they’re also known as “forever chemicals” because they persist in the environment and accumulate in our bodies. With PFAS linked to health risks, we made it our goal to guarantee skin-friendly comfort that eases your body and mind.
We use no DWR coatings and no fluorinated finishes anywhere in our line.

PuraKai aims to create eco-friendly, sustainable clothing that is both stylish and comfortable, using only natural fabrics that begin and end in the soil, avoiding the shedding of microplastics. We also actively support environmental initiatives and ocean conservation.
PuraKai garments are designed, cut, sewn, and finished in our own Los Angeles facility, with knitting and garment dyeing handled by Los Angeles partners. Our Texas-Grown All American line follows its own documented route: organic cotton grown in Texas, spun in North Carolina, knitted in South Carolina, and sewn in Georgia.
We primarily use organic cotton, hemp, merino wool, and lyocell. We started with cotton grown in California and have since expanded to using GOTS organic cotton from India and other natural fibers.
Our All American Project uses Texas-Grown organic cotton made in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, all within a 1,350 mile supply chain from seed to clothing.
To mitigate the environmental impact of microfiber shedding, PuraKai has committed to using only natural fibers that are biodegradable and integrate back into the soil at the end of their lifecycle, except for our activewear, which requires a small amount of spandex.
We have donated a portion of sales to environmental and ocean nonprofits every year since 2012, including organizations working on plastic pollution such as 5 Gyres.

The construction of this garment is fantastic. I’m 5’4”, 190 LBS I got larges for my bras and extra larges for my bottoms.

I have bought the biker shorts, the leggings and the crop top bra. I love all of them but noticed that the leggings material feel much thicker than the bra and shorts. Not sure if the bra and shorts are a diff material than the leggings but would love a bra or biker shorts that are more compressive like the leggings. All in all, I love all of the products that you have produced and I feel good knowing that they are made without plastic.
I haven’t worn this yet but when I tried it on it was an instant yes! I’m definitely keeping this. Such a flattering fit, the fabric has a very lovely feel.

XS 32B small chested so I can’t comment on the support but the band across the ribcage seems snug enough and it’s very flatting!

This is one of my new favorite tops! It’s so soft and so so so comfortable, and I love that it’s reversible / you have 2 options in how to wear it. I’ve been on a mission to replace my lounge/activewear with nontoxic options over plastic polyester after dealing with hormonal issues, so I'm very happy to have found purakei!

My bust is 36.5 and I typically wear a medium bralette. I purchased the medium and it fits like a glove. I wish they had this item in more colors.

I am very pleased with the leggings with the side pocket. It doesn’t show. So unless I put something in it like my phone it, the pockets are basically invisible, which is nice. I have found these leggings to be very functional and very comfortable.
Lovveeeee this top so much!!! It’s exactly what I look for in tops. Comfy, soft, cute, versatile. One down side if you are bigger chested, there is no padding so you may have problems with that. I however NEVER use padding so I’m so happy that there was none.

Very soft, stretchy and breathable fabric, I didn’t feel constricted in it and it offered great support, even for a strenuous hot yoga class. I loved the teal color, such a pretty addition to my wardrobe

Love this reversible bra!! I wear them almost daily and sure wish there was a lighter color too. I find they provide my 34DDDs with far more support than the typical bralette, but I also always wear them with the higher side in front. More colours pease!!
I love the color and thickness, style. I just wish it was a little longer because I’m tall and have a long torso. I also wish it had a lined shelf bra because I was self-conscious teaching yoga with no extra pads or fabric to cover nipples better and it was also riding up the bottom of breasts.
