Size and Fit
PureFlex leggings are garment dyed and pre-shrunk, so the fit is true to size, wash after wash. Choose the size you normally wear. Sizing down stretches the knit thinner and reduces opacity in deep squats, so we do not recommend it. The 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric is thicker and more matte than synthetic leggings. Made in the USA, 100% Knit, Cut, Sewn, and Dyed in Los Angeles, CA, our PureFlex Capri leggings are a blend 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton with 8% spandex for a supportive fit that moves with you. Sewn with 100% cotton thread for a fully polyester-free construction, they're designed to be gentler on the environment and your skin.
Independently tested for PFAS by Applied Technical Services, an independent testing laboratory: no PFAS detected, with total fluorine below 2 parts per million (October 2024). Perfect for yoga, running, or everyday wear, they deliver durability, breathability, and a thicker fabric for enhanced practicality.
We had our bestselling leggings independently tested for PFAS by Applied Technical Services. Total fluorine, the limiting marker for the entire PFAS class, came back none detected at below 2 parts per million.
The report covers the main fabric of our organic cotton leggings, tested in October 2024, against a current industry threshold of 100 ppm. We publish the result rather than a blanket claim.
Why go the extra mile? PFAS are synthetic chemicals used to make fabrics stain and water-resistant, but they’re also known as “forever chemicals” because they persist in the environment and accumulate in our bodies. What is PuraKai’s mission?

Where are PuraKai products made?
PuraKai garments are designed, cut, sewn, and finished in our own Los Angeles facility, with knitting and garment dyeing handled by Los Angeles partners. Our Texas-Grown All American line follows its own documented route: organic cotton grown in Texas, spun in North Carolina, knitted in South Carolina, and sewn in Georgia.
What materials does PuraKai use in their clothing?
We primarily use organic cotton, hemp, merino wool, and lyocell. We started with cotton grown in California and have since expanded to using GOTS organic cotton from India and other natural fibers.
Our All American Project uses Texas-Grown organic cotton made in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, all within a 1,350 mile supply chain from seed to clothing.
To mitigate the environmental impact of microfiber shedding, PuraKai has committed to using only natural fibers that are biodegradable and integrate back into the soil at the end of their lifecycle, except for our activewear, which requires a small amount of spandex.

We have donated a portion of sales to environmental and ocean nonprofits every year since 2012, including organizations working on plastic pollution such as 5 Gyres.

Forgive the dirty mirror & the perimenopause belly but this does show how extremely comfortable these are! (I am typically a size small but the medium fits more comfortably. I tried the small and the waist was too tight.)
I love these capri leggings for my rebounding work-outs! I feel at peace knowing I’m not exposing my body to any toxins from the fabric I wear while sweating. I also LOVE the high waste panel and the fact that there’s NO elastic band sewn in to the top of the waste to dig in to your belly. These hold up very well to all my movements and don’t need to be adjusted during work outs.
I love these tights! Nice amount of stretch and they kept their shape after a run & lifting weights. Highly recommend! I wear a 4 in Lululemon Nulu align tights and the size Small was perfect.

I bought two of the capri leggings and sports bra top. They fit so well, I was nervous with mostly cotton, but I've been trying to find more non-toxic everyday clothes. I went on a 4 mile walk and the leggings/sports bra didn't stretch or slip down at all. It's double layered and breathable as well. Overall, very happy. True to size.
