Size and Fit
PureFlex leggings are garment dyed and pre-shrunk, so the fit is true to size, wash after wash. Choose the size you normally wear. Sizing down stretches the knit thinner and reduces opacity in deep squats, so we do not recommend it. The 92% GOTS-certified organic cotton fabric is thicker and more matte than synthetic leggings. We had our bestselling leggings independently tested for PFAS by Applied Technical Services. Total fluorine, the limiting marker for the entire PFAS class, came back none detected at below 2 parts per million.
The report covers the main fabric of our organic cotton leggings, tested in October 2024, against a current industry threshold of 100 ppm. We publish the result rather than a blanket claim.
Why go the extra mile? PFAS are synthetic chemicals used to make fabrics stain and water-resistant, but they’re also known as “forever chemicals” because they persist in the environment and accumulate in our bodies. With PFAS linked to health risks, we made it our goal to guarantee skin-friendly comfort that eases your body and mind.
We use no DWR coatings and no fluorinated finishes anywhere in our line.

PuraKai aims to create eco-friendly, sustainable clothing that is both stylish and comfortable, using only natural fabrics that begin and end in the soil, avoiding the shedding of microplastics. We also actively support environmental initiatives and ocean conservation.
PuraKai garments are designed, cut, sewn, and finished in our own Los Angeles facility, with knitting and garment dyeing handled by Los Angeles partners. Our Texas-Grown All American line follows its own documented route: organic cotton grown in Texas, spun in North Carolina, knitted in South Carolina, and sewn in Georgia.
We primarily use organic cotton, hemp, merino wool, and lyocell. We started with cotton grown in California and have since expanded to using GOTS organic cotton from India and other natural fibers.
Our All American Project uses Texas-Grown organic cotton made in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, all within a 1,350 mile supply chain from seed to clothing.
To mitigate the environmental impact of microfiber shedding, PuraKai has committed to using only natural fibers that are biodegradable and integrate back into the soil at the end of their lifecycle, except for our activewear, which requires a small amount of spandex.
We have donated a portion of sales to environmental and ocean nonprofits every year since 2012, including organizations working on plastic pollution such as 5 Gyres.

I love these leggings. They have good stretch and are comfortable. I got a small but would probably go for an XS next time. They have some extra space.
Plenty big for me (M) (I’m 5’4” 126lb) not sure if they shrink though. Wiped a spot off with wet washcloth and black dye came off on the cloth! I’ll be sure to wash with like colors. Very comfortable, balanced compression throughout garment. Nap was malleable as in you can make a design in the surface and it stays until you smooth it out. Assume that element may wash out. I’ll wait for final assessment after laundering.
I always feel it’s risky to buy clothing online. But I took a chance with these and I’m so glad I did. These are beautiful. The material is wonderful. It’s mostly cotton with a little spandex. They stay up great and I can’t say enough good things about it. This will become my standard legging and I will order more pairs pretty soon. Buy with confidence these are high-quality.

Fabric is wonderful, cotton but still form fitting. It's a bit too high waisted for me but I like the seamless waste and so I can easily just fold it a little. Perfect mix between 100% cotton leggings and typical plastic leggings.

I'm 5' tall and weigh 112lbs. These leggings aren't too long and don't look weird when I hike up the fabric a bit. I love the Tidal Teal color and look forward to them offering more colors in the future!

Initially, I was concerned that maybe these leggings would slide down (I should note that leggings are not my favorite piece of clothing, but I needed them for a specific gym class). They stay in place and are very comfortable! The feel is very soft and I can move easily with everything staying in place. Great quality and customer service!

I love these and will eventually get more. They are soft, not too tight, especially around my waist, and don't slide down. With another brand of the same size, they are way more compressive but also slide down, so I feel like I have to keep pulling them up and adjusting them constantly. These will be my go-to now. They are not shiny and attract more stuff than synthetics, but I don't care about that. It's nothing obvious or crazy. For reference, I am 5'2", about 115lbs and ordered a size small. Fits great!
I have three pairs of leggings from Purakai and this pair was by the far the best. First two pairs were thicker than the third pair. The length is good for the summer. 5’4 and they’re a few inches above my ankle.
These are the best yoga leggings I've ever owned! The material is so buttery soft and such a bonus it's organic cotton. The fit is amazing. The stretch is so comfy. I am 5ft 1", 115 lbs. and I ordered a medium in ankle length (which fits me like normal length.)
First off, these are some of the comfiest leggings I’ve ever worn. They’re super soft and stretchy, but they don’t stretch out and lose their shape then start to look weird around the crotch area. That’s the usual problem I’ve run into with natural fiber leggings in the past. I bought these in a size up from my usual because I’m pregnant and want to wear them throughout pregnancy and early days of postpartum and I think they’ll work perfectly as my belly grows more! The waist/belly band is quite high and very supportive. It also stays in place during workouts! I’m 5’4” and the shorter length looks great, a tiny bit cropped which I like. They took a bit longer to arrive than I thought, but I emailed them and they replied promptly with the new expected shipping date and the leggings arrived shortly after that. I’m very content with the customer service I received, especially seeing as it’s a family run small business. All in all, I’ve had a great experience with this product and this company. These are fantastic leggings that I’ll be buying more pairs of!
