Where is the dirtiest beach in the world? A third world country? A beach close to an industrial area? It certainly couldn't be a pristine uninhabited beach far away from civilization, or could it. After watching these two videos it's clear we're facing challenging times ahead due to the throw away culture we've created over the past 60 years. I've certainly taken a lot for granted, I haven't given much back, but it's time to find my Nohona Pono and use it for the remaining time I have on earth.
Some days I'm just not motivated, and since we entrepreneurs must motivate ourselves, that can be problematic. I try to remind myself, the difference between who you are, and who you want to be, is what you do, but some days affirmations aren't enough and I need to get inspired. So I go looking for inspiration.
Communication skills have never come easy for me, as a child and teen I had a tough time fitting in and making friends, basically a hard time communicating. Looking back now I believe some of that has to do with my wiring, the fact I probably possess the D2R2 gene, which is associated with attention deficit and hyperactivity, being an entrepreneur, and a few other things.
Throughout my life I've been told I needed to set goals to achieve sucess, and when I've taken that advice my life has always been better for it. Even at yoga class, which we begin by setting an intention and dedicating our practice by sending love to somone special, improving areas within ourselves, or just sending some love to the Universe. I have found when I deeply set my intention during the practice I have greater clarity and focus and get better results with breathing and poses.
This video is amazing. It illustrates the beauty of how deep one can go and then still resurface. I think we all have situations like this, especially when starting a new business, or in our general lives.
The goal of this blog is to present the decision making processes and actions necessary to build a business from an idea of a single entrerpreneur to hopefully someday a large company. When creating a business I find sometimes it's best to take time to reflect before taking the next step, and this is where I am today.
There's a temptation when creating a business to be different, to be new and original, but is that the best idea? The wheel is a pretty solid invention, does it really need to be reinvented? Or can you differentiate yourself enough without recreating the proverbial wheel?

I've spent most of my life surfing, when I saw this video for the first time I was in awe, absolute and complete awe. No one thought this wave could, or would be makeable. Times have changed, as more surfers have put in the time to train for this type of surfing and pulled it off, but when Laird did this it was like a man walking on the moon.
